BLACKEST NIGHT BARRELS TOWARD ITS CONCLUSION

The final issue of BLACKEST NIGHT hits next week, and with that one of the biggest comic events in recent DCU history concludes. Where that leaves our heroes, and what’s to come is still up in the air. But before you consider picking up that issue, you’ll need to grab GREEN LANTERN #52, the penultimate chapter of BLACKEST NIGHT featuring the universe’s most surprising White Lantern on its cover, courtesy of writer Geoff Johns and artist Doug Mahnke.

Durante a WonderCon, convenção que aconteceu no
fim de semana em San Francisco, o diretor criativo da DC
Comics, Geoff Johns, explicou os caminhos
que o Universo DC vai tomar com a conclusão de Blackest
Night e o início de Brightest Day
- duas sagas de sua autoria.


Blackest Night se encerrou com a ressurreição
de 12 personagens, entre heróis e vilões. "Cada personagem tem um
significado. Foram todos ressuscitados por algum motivo, seja bom ou
ruim", explica Johns.

A maioria já tem seu destino, em termos de séries das
quais vão participar. Aquaman, Ajax,
Gavião Negro, Mulher-Gavião, Nuclear
e Desafiador já estão na capa de Brightest
Day, série quinzenal escrita por Johns e Pete Tomasi,
o que deve significar que estarão em destaque por lá.

O Desafiador é o personagem com o destino mais
enigmático - seus poderes vinham do fato de estar morto, e agora ele
voltou à vida. Johns chamou de "muito perceptivo" um fã na WonderCon
que disse que Desafiador é o único herói ressuscitado que aparece
com um anel de Lanterna Branco.

Maxwell Lord vai para a série também
quinzenal Justice League: Generation Lost.
Por algum motivo, só quatro personagens se lembram que ele existe:
Fogo, Gelo, Gladiador Dourado e Capitão Átomo. São eles que começam
uma caça ao fundador da Liga da Justiça Internacional - que morreu
vilão.

Rapina e Columba serão
integrados à nova série das Aves de Rapina; Rapina será o único homem do
grupo. Jade será pivô do crossover Liga da Justiça /
Sociedade da Justiça, que começa em JLA
#47. Osíris, por sua vez, vai integrar os Novos
Titãs. O Capitão Bumerangue terá papel importante na
nova série do Flash, enquanto o Flash Reverso
permanecerá envolto em mistério...


Uau, que percepção, agora resta uma dúvida, será ele o lanterna branco??...

Assim como nós construímos um grande universo de personagens em torno de Green Lantern com Atrocitus, Larfleeze e Indigo, estamos todos muito ocupados no trabalho, voltando nossa atenção na adição de heróis, vilões e mundos dentro do resto do Universo DC.

Nas próximas semanas, em O DIA MAIS CLARO, você vai conhecer um novo assassino estrangeiro que se tornará o maior inimigo J'onn J'onzz, um mundo onde o Gavião Negro e Mulher-Gavião vai descobrir um grande segredo sobre seu passado, a Siren misteriosa e mortal e um jovem herói que está prestes a receber a exposição em todo o mundo no outono para além dos quadrinhos - o novo Aqualad .

Quando a nossa série animada JUSTIÇA JOVEM para o Cartoon Network foi anunciado há algumas semanas (que nunca pensei que iria ver uma animada Miss Marte?! Aw yeah!) Nossos objetivos com o Entertainment DC são, não só lhe trazer Batman e Superman, mas também introduzem novos personagens nos quadrinhos e no cinema, tv e animação em simultâneo com os nossos parceiros da Warner Brothers - neste caso, a equipe talentosa que está dirigindo a série de animação JUSTIÇA JOVEM, incluindo Greg Weissman (que realmente escreveu o Capitão Átomo de volta no dia!).
