Sério, sou fã e adoro a DC, mas é inegável que a Marvel está anos luz a frente da DC nesse ponto de adaptação das hq's pros cinemas!

E digo isso sendo muito mais fã da DC. Na prática, apesar de preferir a outra, boto mais fé nas coisas que a Marvel faz veterano

Também achei o 1o filme muito bom. Porém, acredito que terão que criar alguma coisa nova no 2o filme para não ficar repetitiva a fórmula e perder a graça.

James Gunn comentou várias vezes que o tom da sequência será bem diferente, com Peter em busca do pai, mas o estilo de humor com certeza vai continuar.

Sobre o andamento do script, GOTG2 e GOTG3:
"I had the basic story for number two while I was working on number one, and perhaps even beyond that. So it’s gonna answer a lot of questions that are proposed in the first one, and we’ll be able to get to know some of the characters we didn’t get to know in the first one a little bit more, and we might meet a few new characters too."

Sobre dirigir filmes com orçamento pequeno e blockbusters:
"I will admit that generally I don’t feel the desire to do that. Generally I likemaking big movies! It suits me, especially when I can make them like ‘Guardians’ where I’m actually loving what I’m telling. I wouldn’t want to go off and do something I wasn’t excited about, but luckily I’m excited by big pop things, I’m just like that. And I like being able to mix it with something that’s a little edgier. I’m pretty lucky. But there were times I was watching something, and I was thinking you know, maybe it would be kinda cool to make a little low-budget movie again. But not that low budget."

Sobre a experiência de dirigir um blockbuster pela primeira vez:
"I will say that on my first day shooting ‘Guardians,’ I was like, 'really? THIS is what you do?' You wait, and you set up the shot and then I get to come back and… sit down. And have a cup of coffee and talk to my friend. And then I go back and do a bit more work. It’s not like 'arrrrggghhhh' the whole time. The difference is it went on for 85 days. So the marathon aspect of it is very important. But there are some things about it that are definitely more pleasant than making low budget films."

Sobre o universo cósmico e a aparição de mais personagens:
"Maybe at some point, yeah. I mean, I love that guy (Eson the Searcher) that we see in the Collector's lab. I love that character. I think he's really cool. The visual effects artists did a great job with him, and they were given a pretty big task, to create this character in a short amount of time and put him in there. Yeah, I like that stuff, the Celestials. I like the whole idea that the Guardians are a bunch of mortals playing in the field of gods. It's really about their mortality in the face of all that stuff that makes it both dramatic and fun."

Sobre o mistério ao redor do pai de Peter Quill não ser a parte central da trama na sequência:
"It's funny, I don't want to blackbox it too much. You know what I mean? Yeah, it's like, we'll find out who is dad is, and it's going to serve the story. It's not going to be something like in the Crying Game, though, where the big thing was, 'He has a penis!' [or The Sixth Sense's big twist]. I don't want to do that. It's not about the revelation of who it is; it's about what his relationship is to that character."

"Who knows how much we've influenced Phase Three, but I think the one thing is that the Guardians aren't backseat to The Avengers. Captain America, Thor, those other movies really do support The Avengers and they do take a back seat. But The Guardians are their own thing and the cosmic side of the universe is its own thing. Because the movie was so successful, and more successful than Iron Man was, that changed the way other people looked at it, but I still look at it the same way."

"The main thing with moving on is that we can't just repeat ourselves. We can't just say, 'Okay let's start with something sad and shift into something really happy with some music, and let's have the Awesome Mix work in the same way, but with songs from the '80s as opposed to songs from the '70s.' And all of those things... that doesn't interest me. For me, the shift is about getting to know the characters on a deeper level, knowing them more intimately, and uncovering facets of the characters that make them more real to us. Because at the center of it, I think what works about Guardians is that people like the characters."

"Looking more deeply into the characters themselves and who they are and what they think and what their flaws are and what their strengths are, you know. They're a much more flawed group than The Avengers. They have major, major issues."

Mais sobre o pai de Peter e as diferenças entre os filmes e os quadrinhos:
"[Star-Lord's] origins are different in the movie. I just thought there was a more interesting way to go for the Cinematic Universe that was more believable. There's things in the comic book that, on film, seemed to come out a little too Star Wars to me. And I'm not a great fan of the name J'son. So there will be a lot of difference. You know, this really is the Cinematic Universe and the fun of it for me, you know I always loved the Marvel Ultimate Comics that presented a different story on the way that we're used to, and we saw characters in a new light and they could show up in different places, different ages, different ways. And I think that's exactly what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is. We see things in a different light. They established that very well at the end of Iron Man where Tony Stark says 'I am Iron Man.' That was like Marvel Cinematic Universe's way of saying 'we're different from the comics."

"The truth is, it's a list of titles, and if they're done well they'll be good. If they aren't, they won't be good. But I think we have a little bit more of an idea of what we're getting with Marvel. I mean, we know the actors, we know the characters -- we've seen movies with these characters. You have some idea of what's going on already. We've told a big part of the story. With DC, they haven't told the story yet."

"He needs to be developed more. He's just a blip in this movie. So he needs a lot more development before he can take on the entire, you know, Marvel Earth Universe at least. So we'll see what happens."

Após dirigir o filme de super herói de maior sucesso do ano, James Gunn certamente está com a moral lá em cima com a Marvel Studios! O diretor comentou em entrevista para a Entertainment Weekly quais são os personagens que ele tem vontade de explorar na sequência de Guardiões da Galáxia!
Durante a entrevista, Gunn revelou os nomes de alguns personagens que ele gostaria de explorar em seus futuros filmes. “Yondu e Kraglin, os piratas espaciais”, disse o diretor. “E eu amo a Nebula, acho que ela foi sub-utilizada no filme, quero ver mais dela. O Colecionador também.”
Claramente todos personagens secundários do primeiro filme. Youndu, interpretado por Michael Rooker, deve aparever na sequência, já que ele sabe quem é o pai de Peter Quill. Kraglin, interpretado por Sean Gunn, deve seguir os passos de Youndu.
Nebula, personagem de Karen Gillan, tem negócios inacabados para tratar com os Guardiões e deve aparecer também, já o Colecionador não é uma certeza.
“Ele vai voltar,” Comentou Gunn. “Mas não sei se será em Guardiões da Galáxia 2. Ele é um daqueles personagens com tons de cinza, é interessante e possui uma história a contar.”

Achei a Gamora e o Drax assim. São conhecidos como "monstros" mas no final são bem bonzinhos. Razz

haha é que para quem lê as HQs com eles está acostumado a ver um Drax meio Hulk e a Gamora mais fria e tal, mas o filme foi ótimo(já que não sou mega fã dos personagens para perceber muitas diferencas, além das citadas).

James Gunn confirmou no seu Facebook que por enquanto Nova não deve aparecer em GOTG2 nem no MCU em geral >>
"I don't want Nova right now because I think Quill being the only earthling is important. That serves the entire moviegoing audience and not just the handful of Nova fans. Sorry if that upsets you."

O que faz sentido, mas alguns fãs não entenderam o que ele quis dizer e ficaram putinhos, aí ele teve que acrescentar >>
"I have nothing against Nova in future movies, but it doesn't serve the movie right this moment."

Eu li que o Nova é um personagem importante para os guardiões nos quadrinhos. Porém, faz sentido a explicação do diretor para a adaptação nas telonas.

O Nova é um personagem Galáctico mega importante na Marvel, não apenas relacionado aos Guardiões.
E por isso mesmo que concordo com o diretor que ele não deve entrar em Guardiões 2, um filme sobre um grupo de "pessoas", já tem muito personagem alí, ele ia ficar meio sub-desenvolvido. Se a parte galáctica pegar bem no MCU (e já está pegando) ele deve entrar num filme solo, mas sem pressa...uma hora ele aparece Joy

"The whole story is written. I'm very excited about it. And that's where it is. But the story point for me is, in a lot of ways, the most difficult thing. I feel like it's pretty strong. It's constantly shifting, but I feel like it's pretty strong. I'm excited about it."

Sobre como o filme vai expandir o MCU:
"I think there's a combination of some new world-building, combined with getting to know the world we already know a little bit better, just taking a closer look at everything to get to know things a little bit more intimately as opposed to seeing in very broad terms what some of these cultures are -- like, getting to know them very up close and personal."

Sobre o desenvolvimento dos personagens:
"Really, it's just about walking forward in an elegant manner. When you go forward with a group of characters, that means you have to go forward. And going forward means you're understanding these characters in a new way, you're developing a new kind of story about their lives and who they are and where they're going. And if you're doing that, if you're walking forward, then you can't just repeat what you did before. That's going backwards. That's not understanding the character. The Guardians are going to continuously change. I think that some of the characters are probably worse than what we think they are, and other characters are better than what we think they are. It's going to be interesting to learn a little bit about that as time goes on."

Sobre a possibilidade dele dirigir Avengers: Infinity War partes I e II:
"I haven't decided yet, to be completely frank with you. I just really haven't decided yet. I mean, I obviously love the Guardians, the Marvel Cosmic Universe. It means a lot to me. And there are other things out there as well. So I'm trying to figure that all out right now."
