The Hub Launches 10/10/10; Transformers: Prime To Start On Day One



Advertising Age has confirmed that The Hub, a collaboration between Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications will launch on 10/10/10 (or October 10, 2010, for the uninitiated):



The special Cable Guide section of the Advertising Age magazine reveals that Transformers: Prime will debut on launch day, most likely in the afternoon and early evening Kid's Prime block targeting 6 to 12 year olds.

The channel is divided into dayparts and dedicated to specific age groups, with morning with HubBub for pre-schoolers and Prime-time, acquired programming and films for the whole family rounding out the programming blocks.

Jeff Kline (Ghostbusters), Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci will run Transformers: Prime, which will "continue the saga of 'Optimus Prime' and the 'Autobots' battle the evil 'Decepticons,' led by 'Megatron.' This Fall, viewers will expeirence the world of 'Transformers' like never before."



The channel will also have a website, currently only a splash page and a press release, available at HubWorld.com.

Puxa, bastante brinquedos clássicos de minha infância.

A última série de "animação" legal que eu acompanhei dos Transformers foi Beast War; teve uma série de animação recente que eu particularmente não gostei, que passou acho que na Jetx.

Revelados o visual de Bumblebee na série TransFormers: Prime, e o de Snake Eyes na série G.I.JOE: Renegades.

Será que o canal vai entrar nas grades das operadoras de TV por assinatura daqui do Brasil?

Sei que se fosse na época de minha infância eu estaria louco para assistir, mas agora, nem sei se a molecada curte esses brinquedos...

Acho que é QUASE certo que sim, pois TransFormers e G.I.JOE sempre tiveram forte apelo ENTRE JOVENS no Brasil, muito mais, por exemplo, que STAR WARS ou STAR TREK.

G.I. Joe: Renegades features some nice voice talent. From Clancy Brown as Destro, and Lee Majors as Hawk this toon has some nice potential to give G.I Joe a cartoon come back!
