Nesta terça-feira saiu em DVD e Blu-ray nos EUA Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, nova animação longa-metragem da DC Comics. Entre os extras dos discos está a primeira prévia do longa seguinte da casa.
Trata-se de Batman: Under the Red Hood, animação baseada na história do Morcego escrita por Judd Winick em 2005. Nela, Batman encontra outro vigilante, Capuz Vermelho, que não se importa em deixar uma trilha de cadáveres na sua missão de limpar Gotham.
Assim como em várias das produções da DC, Bruce Timm é o produtor-executivo. Brandon Vietti (A Morte do Superman) dirige, com Bruce Greenwood dublando Batman e Jensen Ackles emprestando sua voz a Capuz Vermelho.

Li sim, Jason Todd o segundo Robin ressuscita e tenta acabar com o crime de gotham matando todos os chefões do crime. Jason assumi a identidade de Capuz vermelho (primeira identidade do coringa) e batman luta contra ele na intenção de salvar as vidas dos criminosos.

"Batman: Under the Red Hood" is The Next DC Animated Movie
Following Warner Home Video's release of "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" on February 23, 2010, the next DC animated has been confirmed as focusing on the Dark Knight with "Batman: Under the Red Hood". Thanks to the LA Times we now have details and our first image for this next feature.
Written by Judd Winick and based on his 2005 Batman comics story line, it's Batman versus another vigilante, Red Hood, who doesn't mind cleaning up Gotham by leaving dead bodies in his wake.
With anticipation rising with the release of DCAU's newest animated feature, "Crisis on Two Earths" just weeks a way it would seem that all our desires were about to be quenched. However it seems that is far from the truth. Released today, right here, is information that is sure to have us waiting with baited breath for another half a year or more. A few months back DC released the contents of the Crisis DVD, and among the many usual and expected bonuses there was one title that got every one talking: Batman: Under the Red Hood.
With that small phrase speculation spread through out the various comic sites and message boards of the internet like wild fire. Would DC's next animated installment be about the origins of the original Red Hood, the Joker? Or was DC ballsy enough to do the return of the wayward Robin; the hitherto never before mentioned in the animated universe Jason Todd? And if it was Todd would they feature his death as well?
The answer is this: the next DCAU feature will indeed be, as the title suggests, based on the 2005 Batman story "Under the Hood" which featured the resurrection of Jason Todd. For the uninitiated "Under the Red Hood" deals with the return of the second Robin, Jason Todd, who died at the hands of the Joker...by popular vote from comic readers every where. Jason returns to life and dons the title Red Hood and leaves a wake of dead bodies in behind him in his quest for vengeance against anyone who lead to his death. This naturally brings him into conflict with his former partner and mentor Bruce Wayne/Batman, who struggles to solve the mystery of Red Hoods killings.
Animated guru Bruce Timm exec produces this pretty violent look into crime on the streets, and it's directed by "Superman Doomsday" co-director Brandon Vietti, with a cavalcade of stars as voice talent. It all starts with Bruce Greenwood ("Star Trek") as Batman, then continues with "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") as Nightwing, John DiMaggio ("Futurama") as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Ra's Al Ghul.

Depois, a do Espectro vem junto com Liga da Justiça: Crise em Duas Terras, que já saiu nos E.U.A.

A Look Under The (Red) Hood
The Under the Red Hood feature from Crisis on Two Earths is sure to leave you wanting more!
If you're like me you've been loving the absolute wealth of images coming out from Bruce Timm and company involving their newest feature Batman: Under the Red Hood. What we've seen so far has been nothing short of breath taking; we've seen conformation of both a young and teen aged Jason Todd, confirmation that his brutal death will be seen on screen, and we've seen quite possibly one of the greatest voice casts ever assembled for a DCAU movie.
But with the release of Crisis on Two Earths we get so much more than that, instead of just short glimpses of this movie in a static environment we finally get to see it come together a little bit. The bonus feature included with COTE isn't a trailer for BURH like I had originally hoped, but the in depth interviews from the creators and the voice actors was so much better. Where a trailer would have only given us some broad strokes of the story and some good action beats, the interview really took us under the hood of the movie, it exposed how the melding of Death in the Family and Under the Hood came to be and gave us a look inside what goes into making a movie.
With all this build up of tension, I hope it delivers.

Warner Bros. recently released a few new images featuring the main characters of the upcoming direct-to-video film Batman: Under the Red Hood along with the film's official description:
Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham City with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. DC Direct has also revealed their latest collectible sculpture of Red Hood, based off of the character from the animated film. The maquette is priced at $99.99 US and will be available for purchase July 7th, 2010:

Engraçado, parece que os desenhos do Batman são sempre os roteiros mais complicados de serem filmados, por serem caros e terem vários personagens dos gibis, aí decidem que usarão como animações originais da DC Universe, e acaba dando tão certo que vende bem.

Warner Home Video, in conjunction with DC Entertainment, Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation, is proud to present the World Premiere of BATMAN: Under The RED HOOD at Comic-Con International on Friday, July 23 at 8:00 p.m. in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center.
The eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies, BATMAN: Under The RED HOOD finds the Dark Knight facing his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two forces of justice, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.
BATMAN: Under The RED HOOD will be distributed July 27, 2010 by Warner Home Video as a Special Edition version on Blu-Ray™ and 2-disc DVD, as well as being available on single disc DVD, On Demand and for Download.
